Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be spotlighting our many LSU Alumni Affinity Chapters! These special chapters are not geographically based as many of our chapters are, and instead focus on joining together individuals who are alike in some way. Whether that be through their academic program, involvement in an organization as a student, or personal attributes, these incredible chapters are run a little bit differently but are among some of our most successful and active chapters. Color guard Chapter
The Color Guard Alumni Chapter focuses on reconnecting members of the LSU Color Guard as well as highlighting their talents both past, present, and future. Since the establishment of the LSU Color Guard in 1971, this group of women and men have gone on to do incredible things in their fields but one thing always holds true - they are LSU Tigers! They get together every year for the Alumni Band Reunion, and always reconnect with members from their year as well as meeting new fellow alumni. In 2021, they will celebrate 50 years of the LSU Color Guard.

Golden Girls Chapter
The LSU Alumni Golden Girls Chapter was founded to bring together former members of the Golden Band from Tigerland's Golden Girl Dance Corp. This prestigious group of women represent the oldest and most established danceline on the LSU campus and enjoy reminiscing on their many memories together when they are reunited. They get together every year during Alumni Band Reunion and perform on the field of Tiger Stadium just as they did when they were students. In 2019, they celebrated the 50 year anniversary of LSU Golden Girls.
