The LSU Alumni Association is excited to welcome Alex Crabtree as Director of Chapters and Annual Giving.
Her LSU story is shaped by creativity, leadership, and a deep commitment to student success.
A 2025 graduate of LSU’s master’s program in Higher Education Administration, Alex has built a professional path grounded in service, connection, and purpose—one that continues to evolve within the LSU community.
Alex’s journey at LSU began in 2016 as an undergraduate Fine Arts with a
concentration in ceramics. While honing her creative skills, she quickly became involved across campus, taking on leadership roles that allowed her to support and connect with fellow students. During her undergraduate years, she served as a Resident Assistant, Student Fundraising Caller, and Dance Marathon Captain—experiences that strengthened her leadership abilities and sparked a lasting passion for student engagement.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Alex spent two years in New Orleans working as a café manager at a local coffee shop near a university campus. In this role, she cultivated meaningful relationships with students and colleagues alike, helping to foster a collaborative and welcoming environment. It was during this time that her passion for working with students crystallized, ultimately inspiring her decision to pursue a career in higher education administration.
Returning to LSU for graduate school, Alex immersed herself fully in both academic and professional experiences. She served as a Graduate Resident Coordinator, supporting residential communities and student leaders, while also completing a graduate internship at the LSU Foundation. There, she worked with the Department of Stewardship and Gift Administration, contributing to the annual endowment report and gaining valuable insight into the role philanthropy plays in expanding student opportunity and institutional impact.

Following graduation, Alex began her professional career in Residential Life as the Student Staffing Coordinator, where she continued to champion student development and operational excellence.
Now serving as Director of Chapters and Annual Giving at the LSU Alumni Association, Alex continues to blend her passion for student success with her growing expertise in philanthropy and alumni engagement. In this role, she will work closely with LSU alumni leaders and supporters to strengthen connections across LSU Tiger Nation while advancing annual giving efforts that directly impact students, alumni, and programs across LSU. With a foundation rooted in service, creativity, and relationship-building, Alex is excited to help foster lifelong engagement within the LSU alumni community.
“While working on campus, I have witnessed firsthand how a quality education, supported by dedicated faculty, staff, friends, and family, can transform lives. Access to higher education is crucial for both personal and professional growth. I look forward to this next journey working with the LSU Alumni Association to continue this mission!"
