Dees-Thomases graduated from LSU in 1979 with a degree in journalism, and later received her master’s degree from Northwestern University.
After spending time out of state as a ski instructor and later working with NFL and hockey teams, Jady returned to his Louisiana roots. Today, he proudly holds the title of "Chief Nut Officer" at Cane River Pecan Company in New Iberia, LA and serves on the LSU Alumni Association Board of Directors.
