Scholarships

Scholarship support plays a significant role in developing a university's student body and attracting students of the highest caliber. Robust scholarship funds keep LSU competitive with its peers and ensure students are able to enjoy critical components of their education, such as travel and internships, without worrying about finances.

The LSU Alumni Association houses over 400 undergraduate scholarships which are awarded annually, LSU's best and brightest students and their generous donors are honored at a scholarship banquet by the LSU Alumni Association. Donors have the opportunity to meet with their scholarship recipients and their parents at this annual event. There is also an opportunity to fund a number of graduate-level awards for multicultural students.

Endowed or non-endowed individual/chapter scholarships can also be established in honor or memory of whomever the donor chooses. Donors may also determine the criteria to be eligible for this scholarship(s), including major, academic classification, financial need, residence, and other criteria. Recipients of these scholarships are selected according to University regulations, which indicate the selecting body, College/Department unties, or the Alumni Association, using the criteria set by the chapter/donor.
