LSU Alumni Association SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) govern recurring text messages sent by the LSU Alumni Association ("LSU Alumni," "we," "us," or "our"). By affirmatively opting in, you authorize us to send automated or non-automated text messages to the mobile number you provide, subject to these Terms. You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number.

Program Description

The LSU Alumni Association may use SMS messaging to communicate with alumni, members, donors, event attendees, travelers, volunteers, supporters, and other individuals who choose to receive text communications from us.

Messages may include:

· Alumni news and announcements;

· Event reminders and invitations;

· Membership information and renewal reminders;

· Fundraising and giving campaign updates;

· LSU Traveling Tigers travel updates and notifications;

· Volunteer and chapter opportunities;

· Emergency notifications and operational updates;

· Surveys, feedback requests, and engagement opportunities; and

· Other communications consistent with the program description when you opted in.

Message Frequency

Message frequency will vary. You may receive up to six (6) marketing messages per month. Message frequency may temporarily increase during campaigns such as Giving Day or Tiger Nation Challenge, subject to the maximum disclosed when you opt in. Transactional, service-related or requested messages may be sent as needed.

Opt-In

You may opt in to receiving SMS messages through:

· A website form;

· A donation form;

· Event or travel registration;

· A membership process;

· A text-to-join campaign; or

· Another channel that presents a clear SMS consent disclosure and requires your affirmative action.

By affirmatively providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive at that number the categories of recurring automated or non-automated text messages identified in the applicable consent disclosure.Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of membership, donation, purchase, event participation, reservation, or receipt of goods or services.

Opt-Out

You may revoke your consent at any time by replying “STOP,” “QUIT,” “END,” “CANCEL,” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to any message you receive from us or by contacting us at the email address or telephone number below and clearly requesting that the applicable SMS messages stop. We will honor reasonable opt-out requests as required by applicable law.

After opting out, you may receive one non-promotional confirmation message. No further messages covered by that opt-out will be sent unless you subsequently provide a new affirmative consent.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and mobile service plan. Please consult your wireless provider for details regarding your messaging and data charges.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent information, and SMS opt-in data are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose your SMS-related information to service providers that assist us in delivering messages, administering the program, maintaining consent and suppression records or supporting legal and compliance obligations, subject to appropriate contractual restrictions.

Supported Carriers

Message delivery is subject to transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted with a revised effective date. If the update materially changes the nature or scope of SMS communications for which consent is required, we will obtain additional consent where required by applicable law.
