GPI is built upon the core values of quality, service, and integrity. These values also define Springmeyer’s commitments beyond his successful career, exemplified by his strong and multifaceted relationship with LSU. Jeff has made LSU a philanthropic priority, supporting the university loyally and consistently since graduating. His service to LSU has also been extensive, spanning volunteer positions as a member of the LSU Foundation Board of Directors, Tiger Athletic Foundation Advisory Council, LSU Foundation National Board, and LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council.
Springmeyer earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1981 and was inducted into the E. J. Ourso College of Business Hall of Distinction in 2006. His philanthropic support of LSU has been broad and impactful, including gifts to priority capital projects such as the Business Education Complex, the LSU Foundation Center for Philanthropy, and the Our Lady of the Lake Health Interdisciplinary Science Building.
He has provided crucial, flexible support through gifts to the Ourso College of Business and the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, as well as support through student success-focused funds in each of these colleges, including gifts benefiting students with significant financial need and those experiencing personal crises.
While at LSU, Springmeyer served in several leadership roles for Kappa Sigma fraternity, including as pledge trainer during his junior year and as president as a senior. He was inducted into the LSU Gamma Chapter of Kappa Sigma's Hall of Honor in 2004.
“LSU has provided numerous opportunities for my family. I treasure the lifelong friendships built through Kappa Sigma and my time living in the fraternity house, and Amie feels the same about her experience with Chi Omega. It has always been an honor for me to give back in gratitude for the meaningful way that LSU has shaped my life. Every step of the way, Amie has been by my side and has also shared my passion for supporting LSU.”
During his children’s formative years, he devoted much of his time to leadership roles within his church, his children’s schools, and other youth activities, including coaching more than 30 youth sports teams.
Springmeyer was recently honored as the Society of Exploration Geophysicists Foundation’s 2025 Sally Zinke Individual Impact Award recipient in recognition of his ongoing support of its programs, fundraising efforts, volunteer recruitment, and strategic planning. The foundation specifically noted Jeff’s ability to motivate others through his example of integrity, respect, generosity, and putting the interests of others first.
Jeff N. Springmeyer will be honored as a 2026 LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction inductee—one of the university’s highest honors, celebrating alumni achievement.
