LSU Alumna Allison Stiel (1999 BACH MCOM) to be featured on Food Network's Family Recipe Showdown premiere episode.

LSU Mass Communications graduate Allison Stiel (’99) will be featured on the premiere episode of Family Recipe Showdown, airing Thursday, July 17 at 9 PM CST on the Food Network and streaming the next day on HBO Max.

From the Bayou to the Big Screen

Each episode of Family Recipe Showdown welcomes family duos to the kitchen as they prepare their most cherished brunch recipes for a $10,000 prize.  Stiel joins the show with her wife Kimberly Neal, to honor cherished family recipes that tell a story far beyond the plate. You can expect a taste of South Louisiana in every bite.

Stiel, a proud graduate of Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication, is a Franklin, LA native who now resides in Thibodaux, LA. During her time at LSU, she was involved in the Delta Kappa chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity. Professionally, she has built a successful career as director of social media at Zehnder Communications, a full-service advertising agency—but it's her passion for family and food that lands her in the spotlight this summer.

"This was an incredible experience filled with fun stories about food, family and togetherness. In our house, we hug with food, so we couldn't be more excited to be invited to the Family Recipe Showdown table to share the love."
