Readership Initiatives
In Waiting Rooms
1,500 copies of LSU Alumni Magazine are now being sent to physicians' and dentists' offices in the Baton Rouge, Greater New Orleans, and Shreveport areas. On average, 20 casual readers pick-up each copy of the magazine disseminated to these offices, increasing the normal readership of LSU Alumni Magazine by 30,000. This is most definitely a conservative estimate, considering the three month shelf life each edition of the magazine enjoys.
In Hotel Rooms
The LSU Alumni Association owns and operates the Cook Conference Center and Hotel located on campus behind the Lod Cook Alumni Center. Some 40,000 overnight visitors to the capital city stayed at this top-notch facility in 2006, and guests of the hotel recieve a complimentary copy of LSU Alumni Magazine. This is the perfect opportunity to advertise restaurants and other Baton Rouge hot-spots to visitors while they are in town for business or vacation.
