The Summer 2008 issue highlights the Alumni Association’s Hall of Distinction reflecting the nine honorees’ personal, professional and civic accomplishments. This issue focuses on two of the eleven University units designated as Foundations of Excellence – Mechanical Engineering and Mass Communication. In May the 50th Anniversary Reunion was held for the class of 1958 as part of the Golden Tigers’ weekend. Also featured in this issue is the Emerald Coast Bayou Bengals Alumni Chapter. The Focus on Faculty segment features Dr. Anna Nardo, chair of the English Department. Another article features the Harry Longwell family, longtime supporters of the University.
