Adam Ali 2017 Alumni Recipient

On Friday, April 7, 2017, International Programs announced the 2017 scholarship recipients at International Fusion. The scholarship was established in 2015 to recognize four outstanding international students demonstrating high academic achievement, along with leadership, diversity, and engagement.  LSU Alumni Association is proud to fund these scholarships and contribute to the diverse and rich culture of LSU.  

Adam Ali  is the 2017 LSU Alumni Association recipient of an International Student Scholarship in the male/undergraduate category.   Adam is currently pursuing a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering, minoring in Business Administration, with anticipated graduation in May 2018. His GPA is 4.15. He is currently serving as both an undergraduate research assistant and supplemental instructor in the College of Engineering, and he is a mentor in the Chevron Mentorship Program. He has previously served as a tutor for the LSU Center for Academic Success. Of coming to LSU, Mr. Ali states, “Coming to LSU from a place which wasn’t exposed much to the outside world has been a life changing experience for me….I would have been living a whole different life now if I never got this one in a million opportunity to study here at this amazing campus." Mr. Ali is from Tanzania.
